We are delighted to confirm the appointment this year of three new Partners at Rappor in Neil Thorne, Richard Smith and Simon Mirams, joining Adam Padmore, Mike Glaze, Brendan Quinn and Chris Elliott.  Founded on the principle of championing People and Partnerships, these appointments demonstrate Rappor’s commitment to attracting the right people into senior roles within the company, and ensuring success is shared along the way.

Rappor’s Managing Director, Adam Padmore, speaking of the news said “These last 12 months have seen some significant changes and developments at Rappor, and we owe a lot of this to the hard-work and contributions of Neil, Rich and Simon, who all individually manage their respective teams across transport planning, water environment and civil engineering, across a national portfolio of projects. Beyond the technical work, each of them support me through their positions within Rappor’s Senior Leadership Team, and most recently have been involved in the preparation of Rappor’s Strategic Business Plan, developed for the period between 2025 to 2030.  Along with the existing Rappor shareholders, I am confident we have now got a strong and experienced leadership team that will guide our business plan to success, and I am delighted that their partnership opportunities at Rappor will allow them to reap the rewards of that.”

Commenting on the news, Neil said, “From my very first conversation with Adam, I could tell that Rappor was built different. By putting people and partnerships front and centre, the business encourages everyone in the team to live their best lives, and in doing so, empowers them to go above and beyond for our clients and peers across the industry. I feel the passion on a daily basis, and it’s intoxicating (like the Rappor-star Martini’s at our summer party..!!). I hear constantly that there’s a real buzz around what we’re achieving here, and I couldn’t be prouder to bring my experience and relationships to the business to support our growth. The past 18 months have flown by, and the future is looking very exciting.”

Simon shared his thoughts, saying, “Since joining, it was very clear that Rappor places great importance on creating a culture where every member of staff feels valued and is allowed to develop and grow, and be their best selves. This is not only reflected in the atmosphere in the offices, but rubs off in the services (and quality) produced for clients. Clients often comment on the ‘happiness’ of the Rappor team. This is incredibly exciting and is really helping the Water Environment Team develop and grow at a pace that matches that of Rappor over the last few years. The future looks bright with lots of exciting projects and opportunities on the horizon and I look forward to playing a part in developing Rappor, Water Environment but also the collaborative multi-discipline work within the company.”

And Richard commented, “Joining Rappor was an easy decision for me – people and partnerships really are the heart of any consultancy. When Adam explained Rappor’s values, they resonated straight away with how I believe a business should operate. At Rappor, we’re all about creating the best environment for people to thrive, putting clients first, and building a strong, team-focused culture.  Since joining, I’ve had the pleasure of welcoming some fantastic new people into our Civil Engineering team. I’m excited about growing our presence across all our offices and continuing to develop our multidisciplinary offering.  I couldn’t be happier to be part of Rappor and am looking forward to helping deliver our plan and shape what’s next – leading by example and staying true to the values that make this such a brilliant place to work.”

We hope the industry will join us in recognising the success of Neil, Richard and Simon, and will continue to wish them well and support them in their years to come at Rappor.
