‘Best Place to Work’ Winners, SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards
On 17th October 2024, we joined other Gloucestershire businesses for the annual SoGlos Gloucestershire Business Awards, the most recognised business awards in the county. Held in the impressive international equestrian arena at Hartpury College and University, we got to hear about and celebrate some fantastic businesses.
We were in attendance after being selected as a finalist in the ‘Best Place to Work’ category, the category that we’ve always wanted to obtain the title of….and it was our year! As the host began describing the winner, we still needed to hear our name spoken to truly believe it. What a walk of achievement to receive our award!
The judges were so impressed by our story and commitment to continually strive to make Rappor an employer of choice. From achieving Gold in the Investors in People ‘We Invest in Wellbeing’ Accreditation early in 2024, our robust wellbeing strategy underpins our commitment to continually enhance the work environment. We foster physical and mental wellness through health challenges, informative webinars, and social events, nurturing camaraderie. Fruit bowls in offices and mental health first aiders demonstrate our focus on nutrition and mental health support and our internal intranet, Rappor-net, offers a wealth of wellbeing resources, extending benefits beyond the workplace.
All staff have a generous annual leave policy, including birthdays off and a Christmas to New Year closure, promoting work-life balance. We value employee feedback, incorporating it into our continuous improvement efforts and our Values in Action Awards recognise staff alignment with our values.
Staff are granted time for studies and support with professional development and employee feedback has highlighted the supportive culture they receive. An example of this feedback – “Adam allows us to live our best life, I am supported in so many ways and have never felt so happy at work.”
Although our headquarters are based in Gloucestershire, this award is an achievement all our offices nationwide can truly be proud of, highlighting the efforts taken to prioritise making Rappor a great place to work.
